memory map (above) screen print on gessoed brown paper. 72" x 48"
remembering amsterdam is a time based work that took place over the course of dutch impressions. the performance comprises a second attempt to remember the geography and mapping of amsterdam. the first attempt was made during the making of memory map which relies purely on memory to chart the familiar routes explored during my exchange. the piece investigates notions of memory as i start to rely on the memory of the map during the performance instead of the physical spaces i travelled.
