Feeling Blue was developed during my first residency in Nova Scotia, as a photographic exploration of the colour blue and its resonance within the phrase feeling blue. Through images of hands reaching toward or resting near the colour, I considered how “feeling” — once defined as a tactile perception — has shifted into the language of internal emotion. This series lingers in that slippage between body and mood, asking:What does it mean to feel blue? To touch blue? Do we feel blue when we observe blue?
